We expect all participants to take advantage of retreat facilities without causing property damage.

Code of Noble Conduct

1.Noble Silence: In order to facilitate inward attention, all participants are required to observe noble silence during the entire period of the retreat. Noble silence means maintaining inward attention by completely avoiding physical, visual, verbal, or any other type of contact with other participants. Visual contact is avoided by keeping the eyes cast down with a strong sense of humility and piety. Participants may communicate with teachers and organizers, however keeping it to minimum. The aim is to generate a feeling of devoutness arising out of seclusion (not isolation).

2.Gender Separation: Men and women participants are provided with separate lodging and boarding facilities. All areas are separated in order to avoid contact between couples, friends, spouses, or family members. Again, the aim is to facilitate inward attention.

3.Drugs and Intoxicants: Participants must refrain from smoking and taking any kind of drugs, alcohol, sedatives, tranquilizers, or any other kind of intoxicant. Medications prescribed by the doctor may be taken provided the teacher is notified at the beginning of the course.

4.Entertainment: Participants must refrain from playing instruments or using audio/video devices. The aim is to avoid distracting oneself and others, and to maintain tranquility.

5.Clothing: We recommend warm, loose, comfortable, and modest clothing. Participants must avoid transparent, short, tight, skimpy, revealing, or otherwise inappropriate clothing. Participants must bring enough clothing to last the duration of the course. Laundry facility or outside laundry services are not available at this time but will be available in future.

Lodging and Boarding

All participants should bring their own linen, pillows, comforters, bedsheets, blankets, etc. Only mattresses and bedframes are available.

We serve simple vegetarian, wholesome, balanced meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Participants with special health requirements should contact the organizers. We will try to satisfy your special nutritional needs.

We will do our best to provide you a warm, comfortable stay so you can focus on your practice and get the most out of your valuable time spent at the retreat.

May you grately benefit from your effort. May you experience the auspicious.

We thank you for the opportunity to serve you.

Soul Sisters - Women's Group

Here is the current invitation to our women's group's monthly get-together.

Date & Time: May 1, 2010 at 2 PM
Location: 3619 Estates Circle, Larkspur, CO 80118
Involvement: Come with an open heart or at least willingness to be open
Directions: http://www.vidyaretreats.com

This month includes an introductory workshop into the Body Mirror System, a healing system put together around the idea that we are energy and that energy can be directed and healed if there are blockages in it. Any blockage first happens in our consciousness, or in other words, the unique perceptional reality bubble we have created and live in. By working with the energy centers (chakras) in the energy body, it is possible to heal those blockages, get to the core of the symptoms, shift those perceptions that keep us blocked, and heal the body itself. True healing happens, when we are completely true to ourselves. Anything can be healed.

Please feel free to bring others. And feel free to bring something to share with the group.

Love and Light,

Nya
